This is a semi-closed cell structure sealing material consisting of EPDM synthetic rubber foam. Various products with adhesive layers are available, and can be used for water, wind, dust, sound proofing, or thermal insulation according to compression ratios by utilizing the flexible foam properties.

CASIS ATRIES foam sealing material to fill cavities of various types of equipment, consisting of EPDM synthetic rubber foam with a semi-closed cell structure. Higher compression foams are available for various purposes such as waterproof, windproof, dustproof, soundproof, or thermal insulation according to the compression ratio.

SPECIAL PROCESSING EPDM

A low VOC black expanded semi-closed cell EPDM synthetic rubber mixture designed for a variety of high performance gasketing and insulation applications.

Sealing applications requiring low VOC emissions and extra softness allows for easy compression to effectively seal gaps with large tolerances. Compression of 50% or greater will provide a closed-cell structure. Sheet stock is available in thicknesses ranging from 3 to 50mm and it can be die-cut for applications such as gasketing around HVAC modules, pass-through seals, interior trim seals, component weatherstripping, etc.

Features:
·         Emission of VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) is reduced, making it suitable for the interior of vehicles or houses.
·         Conforms well to irregular surfaces due to the low compressive stress, realizing excellent airtightness and sound insulation.
·         Superior resistance to heat, cold, ozone, low blooming under prolonged use, and almost no adherend contamination.
·         With the reduction of VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) diffusion, the series are applicable for interior components sealing of automotive and housing construction.
·         Superior durability and weather-resistance (approx. 10 years test evaluation), cold/heat test (-40°C to 110°C), and chemical resistance (acids and alkalis).
·         As compressive load (stress) is small, it will not deform the structure after filling in joints.
·         Low VOC for environmentally sensitive applications
·         Excellent resistance to ultraviolet light

Applications:
·         Air sealing, soundproofing, and thermal insulation of vehicle interiors
·         Air sealing and thermal insulation of the interior of houses
·         Sealing of air conditioners and air cleaners.
The smell test was passed, Can be well applicable to Automobile field. Roll products can be provided (10,000mm). Excellent ageing resistance –Standard grade.

The biggest difference from NITTO:
CASIS can provide thicker product thickness than NITTO, Just due to this feature, customers can enjoy more product utilization rate. EV-10 series can reach to 50-60mm thickness without skin.
