APPLICATIONS
Commercial Gray SBR Rubber can be used in a
variety of general purpose applications including:
> Skirts and seals
> Pads and strips
> General rubber sheeting
> Variety of sealing applications
More Benefits:
- A popular gasket material
- Available for custom fabrication
- A more cost-effective sheet rubber
- Works well in temperatures between -20℃ and 95℃
- Is able to resist anti-freeze, salts, bases, and some alcohols
- Features a moderate degree of oil and ozone resistance
Gray SBR Sheet is composed of both SBR rubber (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) and natural rubber. This blended natural and SBR sheet rubber comes in a gray color, which provides for an alternative option to the standard black. This sheet rubber is popular for use in applications that need a non-marking material. Unlike black rubber, this Gray Sheet does not leave behind any unsightly marks or stains. The SBR rubber found in the Gray Sheet possesses good oil, ozone, and chemical resistance properties for your chosen projects. In addition, the physical characteristics of Gray Sheet allow it to be used in various ways.
A Durable Rubber: When compared to most other types of synthetic rubber, Gray Sheet delivers a superior level of durability and can be used in a variety of commercial and industrial applications. The SBR rubber used in the gray sheet’s composition gives the product an abrasion resistant quality. This blended gray SBR sheet has a durometer range of 65-75, meaning that it is a sturdy product with moderate flexibility that will resist most kinds of physical abrasions.
Non-marking Material: One benefit of gray sheet rubber is that it typically will not leave scuff marks on surfaces as opposed to other types of synthetic rubber. For this reason, Gray Sheet is a good material for workbenches and other items that can benefit from non-marking. Combined with the durable characteristic of SBR rubber, Gray Sheet is a more versatile product as opposed to some alternative synthetic elastomers. Use a gray sheet of rubber when you have an application that requires the production of a clean, mark-free item.
Resistance Qualities: In addition to being a physically durable product, Gray Sheet rubber also possesses good levels of resistance against ozone, chemicals, and elevated ambient temperatures. This quality gives this blended natural and SBR sheet rubber a degree of versatility that is hard to find in most other competing synthetic elastomers. It can perform comfortably in temperatures ranging from -10° F to 195° F. These features make gray sheet a dependable choice for more abrasive industrial applications.
Great for:
-
General gasket uses
-
Cost-effective applications
-
Wherever general flapping is used
-
Projects where non-marking is ideal or necessary
-
Good for use in applications that see the presence of some chemicals, or moderately high temperatures
